Location: Northwest corner of Brandon and Manhattan Roads, Joliet, IllinoisProject Details:
New construction an Army Reserve Center (ARC) approximately 53,800 square feet, Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS) approximately 9,100 square feet, and Military Equipment Parking (MEP) area approximately 24,700 square yards. Supporting facilities include paving for parking of privately owned vehicles, fencing, general site improvements, extension of utilities, and storm water management. The project will contain the following options: Wash bays and adjacent paving, bi-level loading ramp and adjacent paving, unheated storage building and adjacent paving. Force protection (physical security) measures will be incorporated into design including maximum standoff distance from roads, parking areas, and vehicle unloading areas. The UFC 4-010-01 DoD Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings 8 October, 2003 including change 1, 22 January 2007 will apply. This project will meet or exceed a USGBC LEED Silver Certifiable level of design and construction.
