Location: Naval Training Station, Great Lakes, IllinoisProject Details:
The work includes removal of the existing built-up roofing system, wood blocking, flashing, counter flashing, drain rings, strainers, metal coping, and insulation completely down to metal/concrete deck. Provide all necessary demolition and removal of existing felt/base flashing. Prepare surface to receive new roof. Install new 4-ply built-up roof (BUR) system with polyester base sheet and asphalt flood coat with roof gravel surfacing with an average tapered R30 insulation, 1/2" per foot slope to achieve positive drainage with no water ponding. Provide new vent flashing, new mechanical curb flashing, new drain rings, new strainers, new cants, new lead flashing for drains. Provide new .050 prefinished anodized bronze aluminum perimeter flashing, new parapet wall flashing, new perimeter wall coping and incidental related work. Expected minimum 10% roof deck may be damaged. Government will pay extra to repair if damaged roof deck is more than 10% of the total roof area. Contractor will notify Government and receive approval prior to completing work above 10% of the total roof area.
